FTCE Florida Prekindergarten/Primary PK-3 Examination Information

To be eligible for the FTCE Prekindergarten/Primary Exam, candidates need to comply with all the eligibility conditions listed by the board. For both certifications, candidates must have a bachelor degree in the subject. In addition to this, professional certification applicants have to possess a master degree in prekindergarten education. For temporary certifications, however, applicants are required to have a GPA of 2.5 in the subject. To ensure safety when teaching, a fingerprint report should be submitted to the Education Board. Without these files, applicant will not be eligible for neither the exam nor the certification.

The FTCE Prekindergarten/Primary Exam is a test that measures candidates’ capabilities in dealing with young children. The exam consists of 120 multiple choice questions which are to be answer in 150 minutes. The applicant chooses the best possible choice from out of four options. The exam contains different forms of questions, listed below are:
