ACT Online Study Course

About this resource

Interactive Digital Curriculum Overview

The ACT Online Study Course provides an end-to-end, multimedia preparation experience engineered for students who thrive with visual instruction, interactive quizzing, and computer-based practice simulation. Designed to support modern digital test-taking formats as well as traditional paper test-takers, the course organizes the entire ACT curriculum into bite-sized, self-paced learning modules.

Students begin with an adaptive diagnostic baseline assessment that analyzes subject-area competencies and automatically customizes a recommended study roadmap, highlighting specific lesson topics requiring immediate reinforcement.

Video Tutorial Library & Instructional Depth

At the core of the digital course is an exhaustive library of more than 250 high-definition video tutorials led by expert Mometrix test preparation instructors. Each video breaks down difficult academic concepts using clear digital whiteboards, worked examples, and step-by-step problem walkthroughs:

• English Video Lessons: In-depth visual walkthroughs of sentence boundaries, punctuation mechanics, rhetorical strategy, and passage organization techniques.
• Math Video Modules: Detailed chalkboard demonstrations covering pre-algebra, intermediate algebra, plane and coordinate geometry, trigonometry, and calculator shortcut workflows.
• Reading Strategy Sessions: Live passage mapping demonstrations, annotation strategies, question-stem triage, and distractor elimination tutorials.
• Science Data Tutorials: Step-by-step graphical decryption, dual-axis graph analysis, multi-experiment summary comparison, and conflicting viewpoint synthesis.
• Writing Masterclass: Guided essay architecture tutorials illustrating the 5-paragraph template, rubric scoring criteria, and perspective analysis.

Interactive Practice Simulator & Diagnostic Analytics

Beyond video instruction, the course features a dynamic digital practice bank containing over 1,000 realistic ACT practice questions. As students answer questions, the system provides instant explanatory feedback—explaining why the correct choice works and why each alternate distractor is incorrect.

Built-in diagnostic analytics monitor accuracy rates, pacing speed per question, and category mastery over time. The dashboard visualizes progress across test domains, alerting students when their pacing lags behind the target time thresholds required on test day.

Full-Length Computer-Based Practice Tests

The course includes multiple full-length, timed practice exam simulations that replicate authentic testing conditions. Features include:

• Realistic Interface: On-screen timers, question flag controls, and section-by-section sequencing identical to official testing standards.
• Instant Scoring: Immediate conversion of raw scores into scaled 1–36 section scores and a composite score benchmark.
• Exhaustive Question Breakdown: Post-test error logs linked directly to corresponding video tutorials for instant targeted remediation.

Cross-Platform Accessibility & Study Tracking

The online platform is fully responsive and cloud-synchronized across desktop web browsers, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. Students can pause a video tutorial on their laptop and resume an interactive flashcard drill on their phone seamlessly, with all completion metrics and test histories updated in real time.
