FTCE Florida Elementary Education K-6 Examination Study Guide

To meet these requirements, the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) board conducts the FTCE Elementary Education Exam so as to grant certifications to passers. These certifications allow educators to practice teaching in the Florida State as an elementary educator. FLDOE offers two types of certifications: professional and temporary. Professional certification is valid for five academic years while temporary certification is only valid for three academic years.

Qualifications for FTCE Florida Elementary Education Exam

To appear for the FTCE Elementary Education Exam, candidates need to fulfil the eligibility conditions listed by the board. When applying for a professional certificate, candidates need to have a bachelor degree and specialization in the field. For temporary certification, candidates need to have a 2.5 GPA as well as a bachelor degree. Candidates must also submit fingerprint reports to the board to identify any criminal past of the candidate. Candidates should keep in mind that only the professional certification is renewable.
